“Eedi allows me to be so much more hands off and plan my next lessons whilst they learn. It's great having the built in lessons because it means that I can do my own thing, and the students are still learning and making progress. Especially with my bigger classes, it’s really beneficial.”

Castlebay Community School teachers have found great value in integrating Eedi quizzes directly into their classroom activities. By utilising the quizzes and intervention lessons as an in-class resource, teachers can reinforce the week's topics and provide students with immediate feedback on how they're getting on.

"I've been using the quizzes in class time rather than for homework. Generally, I set them to quizzes on a topic that we've been working on for the week, and then they go through it." Sam Richards, Castlebay Community School

Empowering teachers, enabling student progress

“Eedi allows me to be so much more hands off and plan my next lessons whilst they learn. It's great having the built in lessons because it means that I can do my own thing, and the students are still learning and making progress. Especially with my bigger classes, it’s really beneficial.”

As a comprehensive platform, Eedi empowers teachers to adopt a more flexible and student-centered teaching approach. With access to a vast library of built-in lessons, Eedi caters to individual student needs, freeing up valuable teacher time for personalised support for the students who need it most. This freedom allows teachers at to spend their time planning future lessons, and ensure every student receives one-to-one the attention they deserve.

“The kids have really warmed to Eedi, and they instantly jumped on board from the first lesson. With the built in lessons, they don't have to ask me for help. If they’re not sure about something, they can just go through the little lesson and work from that. So it’s really started promoting that independence. This is the first year that we've been using it, and I'm hoping that going forward, they'll be able to use it to revise for tests.”

Eedi's user-friendly interface and interactive lessons enable students' to learn independently. By providing students with the tools to explore and understand mathematical concepts on their own, Eedi encourages them to take ownership of their learning journey.

“It gives them that independence to be able to learn stuff. The students like the independence they get too, not having to ask me all the time. I don't need to be hovering over the shoulder the whole time.” Sam Richards, Castlebay Community School

Encouraging exploratory learning

“If they finished the two quizzes that I've set, I let them pick a subject of their choice. Some of them go off and do statistics, some of them go off and do times tables, it's just nice giving them that choice so that they can work on anything they like, there’s so many different topics.”

Eedi's extensive topic library provides students with an opportunity to push their boundaries and explore new areas of mathematics. By allowing students to venture beyond the curriculum and delve into topics of their choice, Eedi encourages students to broaden their mathematical horizons, stimulating natural curiosity and promoting a growth mindset among students at Castlebay Community School.

“It’s interesting to see how they push themselves, some will stick with what they know, some will pick recall, some will pick a random topic and jump right in!” Sam Richards, Castlebay Community School
