Independent research confirms: Eedi delivers maths improvements equivalent to approximately 3–4 months of additional learning—with just 10 minutes of weekly engagement.
Following our recent Op Ed with Dr. Peter Bergman highlighting the importance of edtech-research partnerships, we share insights from a rigorous randomised controlled trial (RCT). This independently conducted year-long study (2023-24) involved nearly 3,000 students across 20 UK schools and was evaluated by What Worked Education, positioning Eedi among the most rigorously evaluated educational platforms available today.
Our year-long evaluation by What Worked Education (2023-24) demonstrates that students using Eedi experienced significant maths improvements compared to students who did not:
These results highlight meaningful improvements on the NWEA MAP maths assessments. Exploratory analyses also suggest a correlation between higher engagement (more questions completed on Eedi) and greater improvements, although these findings are correlational rather than causal.
The observed effects are comparable to some recent large-scale high-dosage tutoring programmes (e.g., Kraft et al., 2024), positioning Eedi effectively as a scalable, cost-efficient hybrid tutoring and assessment-for-learning solution.
Importantly, disadvantaged learners consistently engaged with Eedi made progress comparable to their non-low-income peers, underscoring Eedi’s potential to address educational inequities. Read the full impact report here.
With budgets tight and attainment pressures rising, Eedi provides a practical, proven solution requiring minimal time and zero cost:
As Suzanne Walsh from All Hallows Catholic High School explains:
